The California Country Club Estates is a community situated on a former country club and has its own HOA. Rancho Park was developed in the 1920s as a middle-class area and the housing stock consists of Spanish Colonial bungalows and ranch houses.

Hillcrest is a private club famous for being a haunt of many popular comedians during the mid 1900s.
